It's early and I woke up with a song running through my mind and it has me thinking.
"If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that I'd like to do...."
Oh dear....at my age, that line is packed with emotion. I remember being a young adult and singing that line, not knowing yet who my "someone" was going to be. Raising kids, having a career, the ups and downs of life rolled out one day at a time.
"There never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them......"
One day rolls into another. Fall becomes winter...winter becomes spring....Kids grow up. People move on. Life unrolls.
And one day, here we are.....how did we get here?
Today I will head out soon to do what I love to do..to greet each day with a simple prayer...to see what I am meant to see, share what I am meant to share. I believe that there are no coincidences in life, that we meet people, we share our lives with the folks who are meant to be in them for the long haul ...or not for the long haul. We wake up each morning with life ahead of us...and at night, we go to bed with one more day behind us.
And I think you probably have the same thing happening in your life too. Some days feel like a burden. Some days may even feel hopeless. And yet, each day is OUR day....a day to bottle whatever we choose to bottle.
So I will start my day soon, knowing that whatever I do, whoever I see today, it will be a day, a moment I won't get back to do over again. I hope I choose wisely. At any rate, I know that I will share it with you. You'll see photos of the adventure of the day hopefully. And we both will smile.
Part of the beauty of this life is that it rolls out piece by piece. a little at a time. And that others are in our lives with us. We really don't have to be alone.... If I could find my "Other", you can too. I know they are out there waiting for you.
And trust me....a smile is waiting too. No matter what...I will help that part with one of my photos soon.
"If I could make days last forever, If words could make wishes come true,
I'd save every day like a treasure...
"And then again, I would spend them with you."
Have a good day today, my friends. You ARE my friends...and we will smile together soon.
Your photos are always so inspiring, as is today's blog. It is a message we can all relate to, especially as we age. It has an extra meaning to me as Jim proposed with Jim Croce's Time in a Bottle words almost 50 years ago. Thank you for sharing this today.❤️
